At the age of 64, Malcolm McLaren was reported dead on April 9 due to cancer. He was known in the industry for his cunning, self-publicity and as a business-minded person. He was also the manager of the Sex Pistols, a famous punk-rock band in the 1970’s – 1980’s.
This is the response of David Johansen on Malcolm McLaren’s death on EW.com. “Malcolm McLaren was such a marvelous amalgam of exuberation, sensuality, culture, and literacy salted with the essential recognition of his own rascality. He was the perfect preservation against stuffiness and a lack of humanity. We are going to miss him.”
Malcolm McLaren was too good of a man to die at his early stages of life. I know that he still has a lot of goals that he wants to fulfill for the betterment of the Sex Pistols and of his business. It wasn’t easy for his family and friends to accept his death, but this death inspired the people who know him so well.

Jones Soda Co. has named its new president and CEO this Wednesday – William R. Meissner. He is known as an expert in managing beverage industries as he recently privately held Talking Rain Beverage. He also became the chief marketing officer for Fuze Beverages, a division of Coca Cola North America. He joins Jones Soda effective Friday.
The reason for hiring a new president and CEO is that the company is starting to lose money and a deal to sell the company fell through. Its revenue fell 30 percent to $4.3 million from $6.1 million. Sales at the company, which makes high-end sodas with sugar cane, have slumped during the recession as consumers seek cheaper drink options.
The company signed a letter of intent earlier this spring with premium soda maker Reed’s Inc., which was to buy Jones for about $9.8 million in cash and stock. But Jones later said it dropped out of that deal to explore other options, and it said again last month that the search continues.
On Wednesday, executives made no mention of a buyout. But in a statement, Meissner said the drink maker was prepared for a “future of growth and profitability.”

Reported on April 7, British actor Christopher Cazenove dies at the age of 64 due to septicemia. He was known as a great actor in America for playing the role of Ben Carrington on the 1980’s soap opera “Dynasty”. But the actor had played dozens of roles in teevision and film since the 1970s.

He has been battling septicemia since February, according to his Guardian. The illness can come from many sources – an untreated wound or a serious infection such as MRSA which some contract in hospitals – but septicemia is often treatable with heavy doses of antibiotics. In some cases, the bacterial infection is so aggressive and wide spread that a patient’s immune system and antibiotics cannot beat it back.
We solemnly pray for the late Christopher Cazenove, who has done a lot in his profession by not only being well-known, but also being a mentor and an inspiration to the people in show business. Hope that God would help him see the light in his life.
