Since the Cleveland Cavaliers have already clinched the best record in the NBA, which means full home court advantage for the rest of the playoffs. Lebron James has been given a few nights off as the playoffs are about to begin, which means that the Race to the MVP is at rest too for Lebron James. If you would notice in the stats, Lebron scoring average this season is only 0.2 behind Kevin Durant, which could possibly mean that Kevin Durant would be the possible scoring champ, not Lebron.

Here are the Top 10 MVP Candidates for this week:
1. Lebron James, Cleveland Cavaliers (61-18)
2. Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic (55-23)
3. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder (48-30)
4. Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers (55-23)
5. Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat (44-34)
6. Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks(51-27)
7. Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns (51-27)
8. Carmelo Anthony, Denver Nuggets (52-27)
9. DeronWilliams, Utah Jazz (51-28)
10. Carlos Boozer, Utah Jazz (51-28)

The season is coming to an end, and the playoffs are about to begin. The newest chapter of NBA will begin again next October-November 2010. As early as now, teams in the NBA are trying to look for players in college basketball that would most likely become an icon of a franchise, or the league. As of now, I could say that the best draft class of the decade is the 2003 Draft Class. This draft class has developed a lot of all-stars and most number of possible MVP candidates. I hope that this draft class would become a class unforgettable.

The WNBA Draft has been always one of the most anticipated events in WNBA as the association would be able to see fresh talents show off their skills and prove to the world that they are worthy of being a WNBA player, but it’s not that easy because many women from all over the world are talented enough to enter this league and only the best of the best are chosen to enter this league.

The first pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft is Tina Charles from the University of Connecticut, who were the champions in the recent NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship against Stanford. She is picked up by the Connecticut Suns. “It is unbelievable,” Charles said when asked what it felt like to be the top draft pick after winning a second straight national championship. “My heart is pounding out of my chest.
