A giant sinkhole has reportedly opened in Northern area of Guatamela City, Guatamela. This has opened because of Tropical Storm Agatha. This huge Guatamela crater is a kind of natural depression due to the removal of the soil by water. According to news, more than 100 people died due to the intense weather.
According to some sources, a security guard was killed by the giant crater as it was opening widely. Also, they said that a three story building and house fell into the hole but there’s still no confirmation was said regarding these reports.
The opening of the crater was said to be a rare thing for this kind of natural depression. Normally, the process happens slowly but the Guatamela sinkhole opens suddenly.
